Know Me More
I'm Anas Ayub, a D365 F&O Technical Architect based in Melbourne.
Over a decade in the Dynamics AX/D365 ecosystem — including a year in leather and shoe manufacturing that gave me ground-level insight into the business processes ERP systems are built to support, and nine years since architecting and building the systems themselves.
My focus is the full lifecycle of enterprise D365 solutions: technical gap analysis, solution architecture, and hands-on delivery across Finance, Supply Chain, and Retail (MPOS and Store Commerce). I work at expert level with Lifecycle Services (LCS), Git/GitHub-based ALM, and Power Platform — and increasingly with Copilot Studio and Dataverse to bring AI-driven automation into traditional ERP workflows.
I'm comfortable being the technical voice in the room with middle- and senior-management stakeholders, and I've consistently led development teams — including offshore teams — translating business requirements into technical direction that holds up through F&O upgrade cycles.

Case Studies
Featured Work
Malaysia E-Invoicing Compliance (MyInvois / IRBM)
Architected and implemented D365 F&O's integration with Malaysia's national e-invoicing platform, including Azure Key Vault certificate configuration and permission architecture to meet government compliance requirements ahead of the IRBM mandate deadline.
Hybrid OCR Invoice Capture Pipeline
Designed a two-stage OCR pipeline (Power Automate feeding an AI Builder GPT prompt) to solve AI Builder's 2-minute processing timeout on large invoice documents — with a vendor-level configuration gate controlling which vendors route through automated capture.
Copilot Studio Vendor Onboarding Agent
Built a Copilot Studio agent for vendor data capture that integrates directly with D365 F&O through the Dynamics 365 ERP MCP server — extending conversational AI into core master-data maintenance workflows.
Automated Payment Settlement Engine
Designed a D365 F&O feature that auto-triggers settlement logic the moment a payment reference is populated on a journal line, built on SysOperationFramework and SpecTransManager — eliminating a manual settlement step across high-volume journal transactions.
Enterprise Bulk Member Refund Platform
Designed a best-practice bulk refund solution from the ground up: SysOperationFramework batch service, dedicated vendor group segregation, DMF-based intake, and payment proposal generation — built after structured discovery with Finance/AP stakeholders.
Third-Party Marketplace Integration via Commerce Scale Unit
Implemented a real-time third-party commerce integration on a Commerce Scale Unit (CSU) deployment, extending the Commerce Runtime (CRT) with custom IRequestHandler/IRequestTriggerHandler pipelines to expose live inventory, pricing, and catalog data to an external marketplace via the Retail Server API. Order injection was handled through a CRT-side webhook listener reconciled into D365 F&O sales orders through the Retail Distribution Schedule, with catalog and price sync driven by async Retail Scheduler jobs against the Channel DB — including CDX conflict handling and P-job/N-job sequencing for multi-store scale-unit topologies.
How I Think
Architecture Philosophy
PRINCIPLE 01
Design for the upgrade, not just the go-live
Customizations and extensions are built to survive F&O's continuous update cycle — favoring extensibility patterns over overlayering wherever possible.
PRINCIPLE 02
Integration is an architecture decision, not an afterthought
Whether it's EDI, REST, or batch — the pattern is chosen based on data volume, latency tolerance, and failure recovery. Not convenience.
PRINCIPLE 03
Automate the repeatable; keep humans on the exceptions
From OCR-based invoice capture to Copilot-driven data entry, the goal is removing manual toil from finance teams without losing control or auditability.
PRINCIPLE 04
Documentation is part of the deliverable
Technical design documents and gap analyses are written so the next developer — or the next architect — doesn't have to reverse-engineer the decision.
